At heart I am a programmer. I love to develop software and I think of a lot of solutions in terms of mathematical models, software algorithms and mobile-computing interfaces. I believe in the infinitely powerful transformational capabilities of technology for people across interests and socio-economic strata.

I believe technology must be controlled and managed. Left alone technology has many harmful and destructive effects. Technology can police technology and good technology can overwhelm and control the bad ones. Humans must design technology so that we retain control and are able to manage the technology world decisively.

Life, evolution, nature and the universe all seem like advanced and complex programming achieved over billion of years by powers, energy and forces beyond our comprehension. In the new information technology world I see similar signs of programming that humans have initiated that over time will begin to evolve into more complex and sophisticated virtual spaces, become worlds and universes over the next few decades and begin to show similar signs of evolution, progress, randomness and inter-linkages that we have in the real world today.

Education is what I believe will transform the world and this is what governments and societies should be spending most of our energies on. Education comes from knowledge and its communication with specific methods to teach and train. If we can do more of this while allowing people to make their own decisions and choices, we will be empowering them and helping them live their lives with better quality, well-being and assurance.

I consider myself fortunate to have the opportunity to participate in this wonderful period when technology, products and communications are transforming our lives, work and relationships and making them so much more fulfilling. We are also fortunate to have opportunities to use technology, knowledge and communications to make education accessible to everyone on our planet. I try to make use of every day to further these pursuits and enjoy every moment I have to work on them.
